Rapunzel

Twenty years ago in Nantes, France, I became enamored of a particular house that had pink roses draped over the top of a wall, escapees from the garden on the other side. I named those flowers Rapunzel, and dreamed about them letting down their ‘hair’ to let me climb up for a rescue.
